Capturing Moments
Close your eyes for a moment and imagine this scene: The sun is dipping low in the sky, casting everything in that dreamy golden glow. Your little one’s laughter rings out as they twirl in the grass. Your partner sneaks a glance at you with that look in their eye that is only reserved for you, radiating love and warmth. And for once, no one is forcing a smile at the camera or posing stiffly. You’re all just filled with joyous love and having fun. This is the kind of family photography session I live for—where moments are real, connections are front and center, and you walk away with images that feel like you.

From the Classroom to the Camera:
For twelve years, I dedicated my life to teaching in Catholic schools. It was more than just a job—it was a calling. I stayed because I knew that within the system, marginalized children needed at least one adult who truly saw them, loved them, and stood up for them. Now, as a Seattle family and high school senior photographer, that same passion drives me to create safe, joyful spaces where every client feels seen, valued, and celebrated.

Moms, Get in the Picture:
I know how easy it is to hide behind the camera. As a Seattle family photographer, I see it all the time—moms capturing their baby’s first steps, their teenager’s graduation, or their grandchild’s first birthday. You take these photos because these moments are fleeting. But when was the last time you stepped into a family portrait session?

The More, The Merrier
Big families mean big love—and maybe a little chaos! But don’t worry, with the right prep, your extended family session will be full of laughter, love, and frame-worthy moments (instead of awkward smiles and toddler meltdowns). Here’s how to make it a stress-free, memory-making success!

The Magic of Golden Hour
I hate to admit it, but before I started learning photography, I had no clue what golden hour was.
Yep, you read that right.
I had no clue. I mean, I had always loved the soft glowing light that occurs right before sunset/after sunrise from a spectators perspective, but I didn’t know how wonderful it was until I started to study light and the way it played on subjects in college. And, I am not alone. I get so many questions about when to schedule photo sessions for the best light as well as people scheduling sessions for the worst, harsh noon light because clients don’t necessarily know the best times to schedule their session for this magical light either. I mean, the more light the better, right?
