Living with a Whirlwind Mind
I remember always buzzing as a kid. I was as quiet about it as I could manage, at first, because as a girl, I wasn’t allowed to be disruptive, and I was taught to internalize my neurodiversity. But, I was always buzzing inside. To the outside world, I was a flighty daydreamer that never lived up to my potential. I was a smart, inquisitive child, but school just wasn’t my jam until much later in my academic career.
Downtown Seattle: Pike Place Market & the Waterfront
I am a city girl through and through. Don’t get me wrong, I love the forest and the mountains. These high school graduation portraits serve as a heartfelt tribute to the years of hard work, dreams, and aspirations they have worked so hard, and sometimes fought so hard, for.

But, I decided early on that I was going to be a cartoonist when I grew up, and when I made up my mind, it was next to impossible to change it. Flash forward, I didn’t like animation, and I quit the Seattle Arts program only one semester in. It’s funny how life turns out.

Dear Mama: A love Letter to Help Dad Shine in Family Photo Sessions
Real talk. When was the last time you felt good about doing something when someone told you to just “suck it up for the good of the family?” If you asked me that question, my honest answer would be never. I’ve never felt good about being told to suck it up. And yet, that’s what we tell dads about family photo sessions. Sure, we think they should just suck it up because beautiful images of our gorgeous families should be as important to them as they are to us, but it isn’t always that simple.
